Fleece and Used Equipment
Silent Auction 

The silent auction will take place Saturday, September 24th

If the item does not sell Saturday, the seller has the option to sell it again on Sunday 

Types of things included:  

Silent auction:  Fleeces, Wheels, looms, drum carders, warping boards, etc. with a minimum bid of $50

 

 

 

 

                                                              

 

  • The used equipment silent auction will take place on Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00 pm

  • Consignments may be submitted from 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Friday, September 24th and 9:00 am - 10:30 am on Saturday, September 25th.  Additional items will not be accepted for sale on Sunday

  • Eligible Items will be fiber equipment items only and may include wheels, looms, carders, shuttles, etc. 

  • Items such as needle sets, books, and other tools with a minimum bid less than $50 may be submitted for the silent auction.

  • Items should be of good quality and condition.  The auction committee reserves the right to refuse any item

  • Magazines, fiber, yarn, and farm/animal equipment will NOT be accepted 

  • If an item does not sell Saturday, the seller has the option to leave it for sale on Sunday. If it does not sell on Sunday it must be picked up by 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon

  • Unsold items must be picked up by 5:00 on Sunday, September 27th.   

  • There will be a commission of 15% on all sales. 

  • Buyers must pay for items as the bid is won and remove them by the end of the auction.  Cash, checks, and all major credit cards will be accepted.  NYS sales tax (7%) will be added to buyers prices. 

  • The auction is provided as a part of the Southern Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival and proceeds benefit both the Festival and consignees.  Side deals to sell items for a price below minimum bid are not permitted

Note to sellers: 

Please include a 4X6 inch index card for each item containing:  seller name, address, telephone #; description of the item, minimum bid.

 

To help us market this event, please submit a photo & brief description of your sale item to rebecca.washfair@gmail.com.  These photos will be used on our website and on social media, to promote the auction and hopefully generate more participation.

 

The auction building will be locked at night and whenever unattended.  Every effort will be made to ensure the safety of auction items, however, neither the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival nor the Washington County Fair will be responsible for loss or damages.
